Written with the young to intermediate level student in mind, all Suzuki pieces are included from Book 1B through Book 3 (also including six non-Suzuki pieces), bringing the grand total to 28 familiar, standard pieces!
This volume contains identical titles as Harmonious Melodies, Volume I, For Two Violins or Violin and Viola and includes Bach Minuets, Gavottes and Bourrees as well as pieces by Beethoven, Brahms and Schumann. The cello parts are fairly busy, moving in sync with the violin parts, while adhering to harmonies found in piano accompaniments.
Christopher Rex, retired Principal Cellist with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, kindly reviewed all the arrangements in this volume and was most gracious in writing a very supportive Foreword.
