Hymn Melodies For Two Violins, Volume II

Please enjoy two performances of Martha's arrangement of Crown Him With Many Crowns. One is a student-teacher duo and the other is in a live church setting, with piano added.

Please enjoy this video of wonderful violin instructor and ensemble coach of At First Sight workshop in Collegedale, TN, Timothy Browning, and his terrific student, Summer.

Three awesome musicians (and sisters!) share their love of hymns: Ruth Tumpalan, Johanan Eunice Livioco (violins) and Hannah Cali (piano) at Heritage Baptist Church. The piano part is improvised and the short ending is also tagged in, giving it a very nice finality.

Hymn Melodies For Two Violins, Volume II has three verses of each hymn, with the second violin part increasing in difficulty — easy, medium, then hard.  An optional digital piano accompaniment will now be emailed to you at no extra charge.

Volume II is substantially more challenging than Volume I. All third verses contain running 16th note passages, using 3rd and 4th position. This volume is geared for students in at least the end of Suzuki book 5 or the beginning of book 6 or for students studying perhaps the Bach Double or Accolay Concerto. Challenges all levels of players and creates a marvelous crescendo effect for the listener, whether it is in a living room or a church service!
