At last, a transcription of Harmonious Melodies II for Two Celli! This book has added several gems that cellists know and love such as The Swan, Chanson Triste, The Eccles Sonata and Allegro Appassionato. Written with the intermediate to advanced student in mind, many Suzuki pieces are included from Books 4-7.
There are a total of 26 familiar, standard works, including non-Suzuki works such as Bach Two-Part Inventions, Beethoven's Fur Elise, Mozart Eine Kleine .
The duets can be used to help prepare students before they rehearse with a pianist or can actually be performed without piano.
Contents: Saint-Saens: [The Swan, Allegro Appassionato] Bach: [Courante, Gavotte (unaccompanied), Gigue, Largo, Two-Part Invention #1, #8 and #13, Prelude #1 and #2] Beethoven: Fur Elise von Dittersdorf: German Dance Corelli: [Allegro, Courante, La Folia] Fiocco: Allegro Eccles: Sonata in G Minor, mvmts. #1 and #2 Gretry: Tambourin Webster: Scherzo Mozart: Eine Kleine Rameau: Gavotte Tchaikovsky: Chanson Triste von Weber: Hunter's Chorus (Advanced) Burgmuller: Ballade.
Please enjoy this exciting performance of the transcribed Fiocco Allegro by Atlanta cellist, Jean Gay, and her student, Casey Green.
